20170215 Bought 2nd hand TM NZD$865 although others paid less
Can it be used as a second PC PC monitor when not in use as Mac?
This page: https://support.apple.com/en-nz/HT202214 says:
- The Thunderbolt port does not accept input for Target Display Mode via a Mini DisplayPort cable.
But the page it links to says:

So in summary:
- Thunderbolt to thunderbolt = Yes
- Want to drive from a Dell XPS 2710 which has USB 3.0
- Can we buy USB to thunderbolt adpators? Anser = NO
Conclusion: can’t be done
